Scaling & Polishing
Gentle cleaning to remove plaque and restore brightness.
What it is:
Scaling removes plaque and hardened tartar from teeth and below the gum line. Polishing smoothens the tooth surface, making it harder for plaque to stick.
Why it’s necessary:
Plaque buildup leads to gum disease, bleeding gums, bad breath, and tooth loosening if untreated. Scaling keeps gums healthy and teeth clean.
When to do it:
Once every 6–12 months, or more frequently if you have gum problems or heavy plaque buildup.
